Invidente Zurdo
Tres pilares, discográficamente hablando, de Pink Floyd han sido reiterpretados por otros grsandes músicos, de su generación y otros no tanto, para editar este mastodóntico tributo a la leyenda. Tales placas son «Meddle», «The Dark Sideo of the Moon» y «Wish you were here»; tres joyas que son necesaria para comprender el geniecillo de ese temprano núcleo, que luego, con el paso de los egos, se descarriló para mala fortuna de la música.
Rick Wakeman, John Wetton, Todd Rundgren, Steve Howe, Peter Banks, Steve Hackett y más ex integrantes de bandas como Yes, King Crimson, Genesis, Jethro Tull y otras aparecen en el listado que se puede ver. Y ¡¿y por qué chingaos no?! le seguimos con el talento involucrado: Geoff Downes (Buggles, Yes, Asia), Steve Stevens, Bootsy Collins (Parliament / Funkadelic), Martin Barre, ex guitarrista de Jethro Tull, Carmine Appice, Terry Reid, Dweezil Zappa, Rat Scabies de The Damned, Graham Bonnet (Rainbow, Michael Schenker Group), Wakeman, Chris Poland de Megadeth y el baterista de Slayer, Dave Lombardo. Ahí nomás… Y esto solo en el primer disco alusivo a «Meddle»…
En la segunda placa tenemos a Adrian Belew (King Crimson, Talking Heads, David Bowie, etc), Robby Krieger (The Doors), Tommy Shaw, Wakeman, Wetton, el galardonado actor Malcolm McDowell («La Naranja Mecánica») y otros. Las canciones de este disco fueron producidas por Billy Sherwood.
Tocan también en el disco John Giblin (Metro), Alan White (Plastic Ono Band, Yes), Jeff “Skunk” Baxter (Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers), Tony Kaye, ex Yes, David Sancious (Weather Report), Edgar Winter, Aynsley Dunbar (Bluesbreakers, Retaliation), Bill Bruford (Yes, King Crimson), Peter Banks (Yes) Steve Porcaro (Toto) y Colin Moulding de XTC.
En el tercero vas a escuchar las interpretaciones de Wakeman, Ian Paice (Deep Purple), Todd Rundgren, Geoff Tate, Joe Satriani, James LaBrie, Bootsy Collins, Jah Wobble (PIL) y otros. Asimismo han tocado Tony Levin y Mel Collins de King Crimson, Patrick Moraz (Yes, Moody Blues), Edgar Froese de Tangerine Dream, Joe Stariani, Steve Hillage (Uriel, Arzachel, Gong) y Rod Argent (Zombies, Argent)
Ya nos tiemblan las patitas para que salga al aire; la colección, presentada en una caja de concha, saldrá a la venta el 20 de junio publicado por el subsello Lemon de Cherry Red Records. Tres discos, tres tesoros para retener un tiempo en nuestro efímero paso en esta lánguida tierra…
